Coquille Fire Department

The Coquille Fire Department was officially established in 1908.  It has a Fire Response area of approximately 80 sq. miles.  It responds to an average 120 fire/rescue calls per year.  The fire department has an agreement with the Coquille Rural Fire Protection District under which the City provides insurance and maintenance on equipment,volunteer training and other benefits and the District provides locations and buildings at Riverton, Arago and Norway, and 50 percent of the City fire department budgeted expenditures.
